He has served in this role since January 2020.  Mr. Jacobs has oversight of the RPOC Training, Finance, Quality Assurance and Data programs within RPOC, which supports six Network Contracting Offices (NCO), the Program Contracting Activity Central (PCAC), and the Consolidate mail Order Pharmacy (CMOP).Previously, Mr. Jacobs was Director of Contracting for NCO 1, supporting the Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN) 1 (VA Healthcare System of Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut). Prior to his appointment as Director, Mr. Jacobs was the Deputy Director of Contracting and worked in a myriad of positions within NCO 1 including Branch Chief and Procurement Analyst. Prior to coming to the VA, Mr. Jacobs worked as the State Contracting Officer for the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), Natural Resources Conservation Service. As the USDA State Contracting Officer, Mr. Jacobs managed Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont’s contracting activities as well as grant / agreement programs and real property leases.Mr. Jacobs served 20 years in the U.S. Air Force, retiring in 2006. During his military career he served as an Avionics Specialist, and Airframe Mechanic and Contract Specialist. His contracting career began in 1995 at Minot Air Force Base in North Dakota and over the years amassed considerable experience in all aspects of contracting from commodities and services to construction, leasing and architect and engineering. His CONUS duty assignments included Maine, North Dakota and Alaska and he deployed as an Avionics Specialist in support of Operation Desert Shield / Desert Storm and as a Contracting Officer in support of Operation Northern Watch and Operation Iraqi Freedom."}]}
