Event Overview: In collaboration with the SBA, VA will host a virtual information session. During this information session participants will hear information about the Restaurant Revitalization Fund (RFF).
Background: The American Rescue Plan Act established the RRF to provide funding to help restaurants and other eligible businesses keep their doors open. This program will provide restaurants with funding equal to their pandemic-related revenue loss (up to $10 million per business and no more than $5 million per physical location).
When to Apply: Registration for the SBA application portal is now open. Applications will open on Monday, May 3, 2021, at noon ET.
Application Eligibility
The following small business types are encouraged to participate in this session:
- Restaurants
- Food stands, food trucks, food carts
- Caterers
- Bars, saloons, lounges, taverns
- Snack and non-alcoholic beverage bars
- Bakeries (onsite sales to the public comprise at lease 33% of gross receipts)
- Brewpubs, tasting rooms, taprooms (onsite sales to the public comprise at least 33% of gross receipts)
- Breweries and/or microbreweries (onsite sales to the public comprise at least 33% of gross receipts)
- Wineries and distilleries (onsite sales to the public comprise at least 33% of gross receipts)
- Inns (onsite sales of food and beverage to the public comprise at least 33% of gross receipts)
- Licensed facilities or premises of a beverage alcohol producer where the public may taste, sample, or purchase products
Priority Period: Days 1 through 21 SBA will accept applications from all eligible applicants, but only process and fund priority group applications. The priority group for the first 21 days are small business concerns that are at least 51 percent owned by one or more individuals who are Women, Veterans, socially or economically disadvantaged. The definition of socially disadvantaged or economically disadvantaged individuals is depicted on the SBA’s website. Applicants must self-certify on the application that they meet eligibility requirements of the earlier mentioned priority group.
