Follow-up Request for Information to 36U10121Q0043 Respondents
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU) provides numerous services to Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) and Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (VOSB) who seek to gain access to economic opportunities by leveraging the federal procurement system. OSDBU enables Veterans to gain access to economic opportunities by developing policies and programs, informed by data, that improve market research across VA, increase direct access, and maximize the participation of procurement ready SDVOSBs and VOSBs in federal contracting. OSDBU is committed to four core capabilities: 1. Advise VA contracting and program staff of procurement strategies that maximize opportunities for small businesses, especially SDVOSBs, 2. Offer training and informational resources on procurement readiness and doing business with VA, 3. Verify SDVOSBs and VOSBs to facilitate their participation in the Veterans First Contracting Program, and 4. Provide opportunities for small businesses to engage directly with and have access to Procurement Decision Makers (PDMs). In order to be a more effective organization OSDBU must utilize the skills and capabilities of commercial providers. Additionally, OSDBU is required to serve as good stewards of tax dollars. For this reason we are conducting market research to request an industry perspective on prospective requirements. We cannot stress enough how important it is that you take these few minutes to help us increase our market research knowledge. As part of this market research effort, we are seeking input from the firms who responded to sources sought announcement 36U10121Q0043 published on April 9, 2021. Thank you for your participation.
